Trip Leader: Matthew Walker, STL Clean Up Crew
WHAT: As part of the 59th annual Operation Clean Stream, volunteers will clean trash from areas along the River Scene Trail in Castlewood State Park. This area was flooded multiple times over the past year. Volunteers will not get in the water for this cleanup. Wheelbarrows may be useful to transport larger pieces and amounts of trash. There are several large pieces of trash including: refrigerators, doors, and parts of a port-a-potty.
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in Operation Clean Stream!
WHEN: 9:00 am, Saturday, August 22nd. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45am.
WHERE: Castlewood State Park 505 Ballwin, MO 63021 - Volunteers will meet at the end of the road, near the tunnel and train tracks. See Map for exact location.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Dress for the weather
- Wear clothes that can get dirty
- Closed-toe, sturdy shoes
- Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
- A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
- Bug spray
REGISTRATION NOTES:
