Water-based Clean up: Steelville Meramec River Cleanup BYOB (Bring Your Own Boat)

WHAT: As part of the 59th annual Operation Clean Stream, volunteers will clean up sections of the Meramec River from Woodson K. Woods Access near Meramec Spring Park to Bird’s Nest Access near Steelville. Volunteers will meet at Steelville Middle School and disperse to cleanup areas from there. This is a Bring Your Own Boat event

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in Operation Clean Stream!

WHEN: 7:00 am, Saturday, August 22nd, volunteer check-in begins at 6:45 am. 

WHERE: Meet at Steelville Middle School, 810 Main St, Steelville, MO 65565. Exact location here

WHAT TO WEAR:

  • Dress for the weather
  • Wear clothes that can get dirty
  • Closed-toe, sturdy shoes
  • Hat & sunscreen

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
  • Bug spray

 REGISTRATION NOTES

  • The annual OS-STL liability waiver must be signed and approved before a volunteer can register for this cleanup opportunity. To see if you have met this qualification, please view your profile here

  • A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 16.

All volunteers are invited to a post-cleanup celebratory picnic at Simpson Park! Enjoy hot dogs, drinks, comradery, and our youth event, Passport to Clean Water!
