Trip Leader: Larry Lazar, Route 66 CSA Ambassador
WHAT: As part of the 59th annual Operation Clean Stream, volunteers will clean up the Meramec River section from Route 66 State Park boat ramp to Sherman Beach. Volunteers will meet at Route 66 State Park boat ramp, carpool/shuttle to Sherman Beach then drive back to the Route 66 SP boat ramp to start the trip. This is a Bring Your Own Boat site! Volunteers are expected to assist in loading and unloading boats!
The clean up is estimated to end around 3:00, but it is important to note that clean up duration may be affected by river speeds.
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in Operation Clean Stream!
WHEN: 8am, Saturday, August 22nd, volunteer check-in begins at 8am
WHERE: Route 66 State Park Boat Launch, 50 S Outer Rd, Eureka, MO 63025 - see map for exact location.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Dress for the weather
- Wear clothes that can get dirty
- Closed-toe, sturdy shoes
- Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
- A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
- Snacks and a lunch
- Bug spray
- A Boat(s)
- something to keep your phone dry
REGISTRATION NOTES:
