SITE GRADE A - Flat, open area, suitable for all ages with some limited mobility.
WHAT: Join the members of Fairground Park for All as we clean up Fairground Park together! Pick up litter as you stroll around the beautiful park grounds, making it a better place to walk, run, and play! Help remove trash from the roller rink, the lakes, and the grounds surrounding such iconic areas as the old Bear Pits and the swimming pool! The roller rink DJ may be on hand to keep you going with music all morning!
After the clean up, join us at The Audubon Center at Riverlands for the Watershed Picnic and Festival and Passport to Clean Water educational event from 11am - 2pm to celebrate our efforts and hard work! The festival will be hosted by Open Space STL, The Audubon Center at Riverlands, and The Army Corps of Engineers, and will feature free food, drinks, and activities for the whole family!
We'll also have a trash contest for all clean up participants. Did you find the biggest trash? The weirdest trash? The most bottles of Fireball? Bring them to the picnic for bragging rights... and prizes!
