WHAT: Join us at Warson Park in Olivette to remove trash from the parks and areas surrounding the River Des Peres Watershed. This is a land-based cleanup. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in The Trash Bash!

WHEN: 9:00am, Saturday, October 25th. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45am.
WHERE: Volunteers will meet in the parking lot at 1400 N Price Rd, Olivette, MO 63132, exact location here.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Dress for the weather
Wear clothes that can get dirty
Closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots
Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Bug spray

ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE INVITED to a post-cleanup celebratory picnic at Deer Creek Park! Enjoy food, drinks, comradery, and our youth event, Passport to Clean Water!
We'll also have a trash contest, with prizes for:

Bring your trash to the picnic to win! (Trash must be brought to the picnic for us all to admire, unless it is too large to move.)

The River Des Peres Trash Bash is a rain or shine event. In case of severe weather, please check our Facebook page (@openspacestl) and your email for updates.
This site also includes Storm Drain Marking, for any volunteers who are interested. Storm Draining Marking provides a visible reminder of the impact of improper waste disposal, and helps communicate to the community that storm drains can carry pollution to area rivers and streams. As a storm drain marking volunteer, you will be provided with a map and all the supplies to mark the location of storm drains, helping to maintain the health of our area waterways.
