Site Grade: B/C - Some Slopes. Full mobility suggested. May have heavy trash in some areas. Recommended for ages 9 and up on the Greenway and ages 16+ near River des Peres.
WHAT: Join us along The Great Rivers Greenway to remove trash from the parks and areas surrounding the River Des Peres Watershed. This is a land-based cleanup. Volunteers will cleanup areas along the River des Peres Greenway near the Germania Trailhead (Grade B) and the River des Peres (Grade C). Some volunteers may go under the bridge near River des Peres.
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in The Trash Bash!
WHEN: 9:00am, Saturday, October 25th. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45am.
WHERE: Meet at the River Des Peres Greenway parking lot on Germania near Knackstedt St., just north of Highway 55. see map for exact location. Parking in the lot may be limited, and volunteers may park on the neighborhood streets.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Dress for the weather
Wear clothes that can get dirty
Closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots, preferably waterproof
Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Bug spray
REGISTRATION NOTES:

This land-based cleanup does not require a canoe/kayak
ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE INVITED to a post-cleanup celebratory picnic at Deer Creek Park! Enjoy food, drinks, comradery, and our youth event, Passport to Clean Water!

Bring your trash to the picnic to win! (Trash must be brought to the picnic for us all to admire, unless it is too large to move.)
