WHAT: Join us at The River Des Peres Trash Bash to remove trash from the parks and areas surrounding the River Des Peres Watershed. This is a land-based cleanup. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in The Trash Bash!
WHEN: 9:00am, Saturday, October 25th. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45am.
WHERE: Meet at the end of Sutherland Ave, behind the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne MetroLink Station. Volunteers may park on the street. Street parking may be limited, so carpooling is recommended. see map for exact location.
This area involves a steep cement embankment that volunteers will walk down to enter the river. The river in this area is very shallow, but a shallow water crossing may be necessary. Wear sturdy, waterproof, closed-toe boots, and be prepared to get dirty. This area may also involve heavy lifting. Experienced volunteers preferred at this site.

Closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots
Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Bug spray
REGISTRATION NOTES:

This land-based cleanup does not require a canoe/kayak
ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE INVITED to a post-cleanup celebratory picnic at Deer Creek Park! Enjoy food, drinks, comradery, and our youth event, Passport to Clean Water!
We'll also have a trash contest, with prizes for:

Weirdest Trash
most bottles of Fireball.
Bring your trash to the picnic to win! (Trash must be brought to the picnic for us all to admire, unless it is too large to move.)
