WHAT: Join us for invasive species removal at Lower Meramec Park!
Bush honeysuckle and wintercreeper prevent development of native tree, shrub, and ground cover, displacing native species by outcompeting and shading the forest floor and depleting the soil of moisture and nutrients.
No previous conservation experience is needed as volunteers are encouraged to come and learn. This is part of an ongoing conservation effort at Lower Meramec Park, so check for future opportunities!
WHEN: 9:00am, Saturday, October 26th. Volunteer check-in will begin around 8:45am.
WHERE: Lower Meramec Park & Greenway, 4756 Krumm Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128. Check-in will be at the Krumm Road Trailhead - see map for exact location.
