WHAT: Kick off the Fall season by joining the Community Stewardship Alliance for pollinator garden maintenance at Mallard Lake. Volunteers will remove unwanted and old plant material, including a general clean-up of the three on-site pollinator gardens. All experience levels are encouraged to participate!
WHERE: Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park, near the Lakehouse Bar & Grill, 2160 Creve Coeur Mill Rd, St. Louis, MO 63146. The meeting location will be at the parking lot near the gardens - see map for exact location.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 18th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:15 am.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Dress for the weather, in clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Closed-toe shoes
WHAT TO BRING
- Water bottle
- Your own work gloves/tools if preferred
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- If you have a trowel, knee pads, or kneeling pads you can bring those, too but tools are provided
Registration notes:
- The annual OS-STL liability waiver must be signed and approved before a volunteer can register for this cleanup opportunity. To see if you have met this qualification, please view your profile here.
- Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome
- This volunteer opportunity is fun and open to all ages. Children under 13 may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
