WHAT: Come support the Green City Coalition in planting native and fruit trees at Peace Park, a newly redeveloped park in the College Hill neighborhood that's been years in the making. Open Space STL is supporting this event in partnership with the Green City Coalition. No planting experience or tools are required.
WHEN: 9:00 am, Thursday, May 30th.
WHERE: Peace Park - E. Grand Ave and Strodtman Place - Peace Park is a resident-led and highly collaborative effort in the College Hill neighborhood to transform a block of vacant lots into a vibrant and beautiful neighborhood park-- see map for exact location.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Dress for the weather in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty
- Closed-toe shoes
WHAT TO BRING:
- A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
- Your own work gloves/tools, if preferred - otherwise they will be provided
- Bug/tick spray
- Sunscreen
