Description

WHAT: Help the Community Stewardship Alliance enhance and restore a woodland habitat at St. Vincent Park in North St. Louis County. This volunteer opportunity will focus on removing invasive bush honeysuckle in the woodland habitat and replacing them with native plants. 

WHEN: Saturday, June 22nd 9am-12pm

WHERE: St. Vincent County Park, 7335 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Louis, MO 63133. The meeting site will be at the water park parking lot - see map for exact location.

WHAT TO WEAR

  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and long sleeves
  • Wear closed-toe shoes

WHAT TO BRING

  • A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
  • Tools and gloves are provided, but if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug/tick spray

Registration notes:

  • The annual OS-STL liability waiver must be signed and approved before a volunteer can register for this opportunity. To see if you have met this qualification, please view your profile here.
  • Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome.
  • This volunteer opportunity is fun and open to all ages. Must be 18 years or older to handle herbicide. Younger children may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
