WHAT: The field just north of the South Parking has been the location of several prior tree-planting events. However, the trees are becoming choked with vines and Johnson grass that we need to clear out for the park's benefit. These trees will appreciate the attention as will the wildlife who benefit from their acorns and fruit.
WHERE: Little Creve Coeur Ecological Area 152 River Valley Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017 Exact location here. We will assemble at the South Parking lot.
WHEN: Saturday, May 16, 2026. 9am - 12 noon. Volunteer check-in will begin at 15 min before event.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves, as well as closed toe shoes.
Sturdy shoes or boots
Dress for the weather!
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Hand tools will be provided. If you prefer your own power tools, you are welcome to bring them
Sunscreen
Porta potties are expected at the South Parking. Water for drinking and hand washing will be available
Herbicide use is optional; PPE is not optional for volunteers using herbicide.
Bring a friend. If time and interest we can meet afterward at the Lakehouse Grill

Pre-registration is encouraged in case of event rescheduling or cancellation
This volunteer opportunity is open to all ages. Children under 13 may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or guardian and those 18 or under may not participate in herbicide application.
