Unfortunately, this program has been cancelled for this weekend, and will be rescheduled for the fall, when it's a little cooler out.
WHAT: Please join us at Jefferson Barracks Park for tree/sapling re-caging at the Don Young Cork Ball Fields.
Almost 50 trees planted in last year have outgrown their protective fencing. Wider protective cages will guard the growing trees from deer and people. We will also spread new mulch around the trees.
WHERE: Jefferson Barracks Park, at the cul de sac parking lot by the cork ball fields. Exact location here.
WHEN: Saturday, March 21, from 9am to 12pm. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45am.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves, as well as closed toe shoes.
Sturdy shoes or boots
Work gloves
Dress for the weather!
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Tools will be provided, but if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them
Sunscreen
Bug/tick spray
