Description


WHAT:  Locating invasive plants (crown vetch, sweet clover, others) and controlling with either cutting or herbicide

Stick around and have lunch with fellow volunteers

WHERE: Arrive at South Parking Lot, 152 River Valley Drive 63017 here, then turn left through second gate and proceed north 0.25 miles and park at the pavilion.

 WHEN: Saturday, May 10, 2025, 9am to 12 noon. Volunteer check-in will begin at 15 min before event. 

WHAT TO WEAR:

  • Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves.

  • Sturdy shoes or boots (closed toe)

  • Dress for the weather!

  • Wear long sleeves and pants

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable! Organizers will not be able to bring drinking water.

  • Tools will be provided, but if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them

  • Sunscreen

  • Water and soap for hand washing will be provided

  • Porta potty on site

  • Bug/tick spray

Registration notes:

  • Pre-registration is encouraged in case of event rescheduling or cancellation

  • This volunteer opportunity is open to all ages. Children under 13 may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or guardian and those 18 or under may not participate in herbicide application.
