WHAT: The west side of Skunk Prairie has an emerging savanna of oaks, at least if we can clear the invasive vines away. The area has been recently mowed but removing invasives / aggressive vines like porcelainberry, grape, and euonymus will require hand work. But the swamp white oaks will appreciate the attention with continued growth and maybe a mast of acorns for wildlife.
