Volunteer: Honeysuckle Hack at Little Creve Coeur Ecological Area March 14, 2026WHAT: The north end of Unit 8 (part of Old Trees Area) is becoming choked with bush honeysuckle. But the white oaks, large cottonwoods and sycamore will appreciate the attention, as will the wildlife. WHERE: Little Creve Coeur Ecological Area 152 River Valley Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017 Exact location here. We will assemble in the parking lot and then carpool to the work area near Highway 141. WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2026. 9am - 12 noon. Volunteer check-in will begin at 15 min before event. WHAT TO WEAR: Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves, as well as closed toe shoes. Sturdy shoes or boots Dress for the weather! WHAT TO BRING: A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable! Hand tools will be provided. If you prefer your own power tools, you are welcome to bring them Sunscreen Porta potties were present at the South Parking in December. WHERE: Little Creve Coeur Ecological Area Pavillion: start at South Parking 152 River Valley Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017 Exact location here. We will meet at the pavilion 1/4 mile north of the parking area, drive through the gate, and park at the pavilion. WHEN: RESCHEDULED to SUNDAY March 29. Volunteer: Young Tree Maintenance at Little Creve Coeur Ecological Area May 16, 2026WHAT: The field just north of the South Parking has been the location of several prior tree-planting events. However, the trees are becoming choked with vines and Johnson grass that we need to clear out for the park's benefit. These trees will appreciate the attention as will the wildlife who benefit from their acorns and fruit.
