SITE GRADE C: Heavy trash. Heavy brush. Steep slopes. Full mobility needed. Recommended for ages 16 and up. Sites containing inappropriate trash (condoms, drug paraphernalia) should also be ranked as C even if it is not difficult terrain.
WHAT: Please join us to clean up the UMSL South Campus for the Confluence Trash Bash! We will meet in the beautiful UMSL Sustainability Garden, just south of theSouth Campus Garage. From there, we can adventure into the creek to clean in and along the creek bank. The creek gets no deeper than knee height, and there will be opportunities to stay on the bank for those who want to keep their feet dry.
Volunteers who register in advance will receive a free t-shirt for participating!
Later in the week, please join us at The Audubon Center at Riverlands for the Watershed Picnic and Festival and Passport to Clean Water educational event from 11am - 2pm to celebrate our efforts and hard work! The festival will be hosted by Open Space STL, The Audubon Center at Riverlands, The Army Corps of Engineers, and Leave No Trace, and will feature free food, drinks, and activities for the whole family!
We'll also have a trash contest for all clean up participants. Did you find the biggest trash? The weirdest trash? The most bottles of Fireball? Bring them to the picnic for bragging rights... and prizes!
WHEN: 11pm - 1pm, Monday, April 7th. Volunteer check-in will begin at 10:45pm.

Dress for the weather
Wear clothes that can get dirty
Closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots
Hat & sunscreen
WHAT TO BRING:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
