Volunteer: Secret Service Project: Litter Clean-up in Benton Park

At this event, we will be welcoming folks from The Secret Service Project!

Come join us in Benton Park and the surrounding neighborhood to clean up litter. Benton Park is a 14-acre, Victorian era park in the heart of South City St. Louis.  This park is enjoyed by members of many surrounding neighborhoods, and later in the afternoon, on the day of this volunteer event, the Benton Park Neighborhood Association will be hosting a "Family Fun Day" in the park for kids from all over the region. Help us get our park looking spiffy for all of our guests!


WHERE: We will meet here, and the intersection of Missouri and Arsenal. There is plenty of street parking along Arsenal, but please be mindful not to park in bus zones. 

WHEN: Saturday, June 13th, 2026 from 9:00am-11:00am. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:50am.

SUPPLIES: We will provide trash bags and trash grabbers. Please bring work or latex gloves with you if your plan to also pick up trash. 


WHAT TO WEAR:

Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves, as well as closed toe shoes.

Sturdy shoes or boots

Dress for the weather!

WHAT TO BRING: 

A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!

Tools will be provided, but if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them

Sunscreen

Bug/tick spray, and some will be provided

Registration notes:

Pre-registration is encouraged in case of event rescheduling or cancellation

This volunteer opportunity is open to all ages. Children under 13 may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or guard toian and those 18 or under may not participate in herbicide application.
