Volunteer: Land-Based Cleanup: Simpson Park

WHAT: As part of the 59th annual Operation Clean Stream, volunteers will help clean up Simpson Park during this land-based cleanup. This opportunity is for cleaning areas on land in Simpson Lake Park, not on the water. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in Operation Clean Stream!

WHEN: 8:30 am, Saturday, August 22nd. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:15 am. 

WHERE: Simpson Park, 1234 Marshall Rd, Valley Park, MO 63088 - see map for exact location.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Dress for the weather Wear clothes that can get dirty Closed-toe, sturdy shoes Hat & sunscreen

WHAT TO BRING: 

A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable! Bug spray

Volunteer: Water-Based Cleanup: BYOB Route 66 State Park to Sherman Beach

Trip Leader: Larry Lazar, Route 66 CSA Ambassador

WHAT: As part of the 59th annual Operation Clean Stream, volunteers will clean up the Meramec River section from Route 66 State Park boat ramp to Sherman Beach. Volunteers will meet at Route 66 State Park boat ramp, carpool/shuttle to Sherman Beach then drive back to the Route 66 SP boat ramp to start the trip. This is a Bring Your Own Boat siteVolunteers are expected to assist in loading and unloading boats!

The clean up is estimated to end around 3:00, but it is important to note that clean up duration may be affected by river speeds.

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating in Operation Clean Stream!
